Happy 4th of July!

This year we had an action packed 4th. We kicked it off at 8am with a flag raising ceremony and pancake breakfast at the church. Then we head over for a community parade in some our friends neighborhood. It was pretty fun. A fire truck comes and does one lap around the community followed by kids on bikes, walkers, walgons, motorcycles and more. Then the fire engine pulls into one of the streets and all the kids get a chance to climb in and talk to the firemen and women. A few lucky kids even got to try on the fire jacket.
After that it was off for naps and then up again for bbq, swimming, and fireworks.
Carter love jumping in to Daddy, in fact he was attached to Daddy at the hip and all day and yesterday too.
Thumbs up on some good homemade peach ice cream.
Last but not least fire works. Sorry about the flash guys. From were we were we could see the Poway fireworks and the Ranch Bernardo fireworks. So we got two for the price of one. Carter loved it. He didn't know which way to look. He kept pointing to one and then the other and then both at the same time. At first we thought the RB fireworks were better, but Poway's finally killed the competition.

Fun! Great pics. Where did you guys go for fireworks? RB Highs were good but 2 shows would be better!

Super cool weekend! it's always nice when the kid attaches to the dad over the weekend. Gives mom a break.
